The Foundation was formed in November of 2007 to honor one of our children who
was tragically taken from us before she had the opportunity to experience all
that life has to offer. In her
memory the foundation has endeavored to help children and families who are beset
by hardships due to unforeseen tragedies or circumstances beyond their control.
The foundation has contributed monies and volunteers to the “Joy Drive”
sponsored by the Palm Beach Gardens Police and Fire Departments benefitting more
than 1800 children and families in three years, during the holiday season.
During the past five years, the foundation has volunteered and lent financial
support to feed the homeless, cloth babies in need, help families pay for
funeral expenses, provided scholarship funds to high school graduates in need,
given generously to grade school children programs to help with their basic
needs.
The most ambitious endeavor the foundation has undertaken during its 3 plus
years of existence is the building of a facility that will serve the community
and children with their physical and mental development.
The project is being built at Plant Drive Park in Palm Beach Gardens.
The facility is being built in phases that have allowed its use during
the completion of the entire project.
Phases One, Two and Three of the project have been finished.
It is currently being used by the Palm Beach Gardens High School, the
Palm Beach Gardens Youth Athletic Association, various city recreation programs
and Palm Beach Atlantic College to facilitate their programs.
Phase four is scheduled for completion by September, 2011
The future phases of construction will provide structures to further enhance the
overall project making it suitable to provide additional programs for the area’s
children and families, plus host local, state and national events.
